Safer is Sexy: International Condom Day

International Condom Day (ICD), held annually on February 13th, was created by AHF in 2009 to promote safer sex practices, raise awareness about HIV and STI prevention, and normalize conversations around sexual health. What began as a single initiative has grown into a global movement with creative, bold, and impactful celebrations inspiring communities to action.

AHF Mexico celebrates ICD, 2024

Every year, AHF commemorates ICD with events that entertain, educate, and engage communities around the world. From dazzling live performances to vibrant community outreach, our mission is to remind people everywhere that condoms are safe, sexy, and essential to preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS.

From a lively magic show in Mexico to a concert and bicycle rally in Nepal, AHF teams around the world used creativity and connection to spread the message of safer sex in 2024. Through marches, flash mobs, viral videos, live performances, and so much more, AHF teams reminded the world that the AIDS epidemic is far from over and condoms remain the most cost-effective way to prevent HIV, STIs, and unplanned pregnancies.
