Festivities abound as the 2025 holiday season and the 2026 new year approach, a time to honor our accomplishments and reflect on our values. Over the years, AHF has continued to empower our clients to do the same, providing extra support around the end of each year. In 1997 and 1998, mall shoppers also participated.
For December, AHF “unwrapped” a Holiday Service Center providing gift wrapping and shipping at two prestigious shopping venues, The Beverly Center and the Century City Shopping Center and Marketplace, to support AHF services in 1997, and it was so successful with shoppers that it heralded in the holidays the next year as well.
Volunteers from both AHF and across Los Angeles led the Holiday Service Center, which started after Thanksgiving and continued until the end of December, to raise money for the 5,000+ clients AHF served at the time in four outpatient healthcare centers, two residential facilities, the Women’s Care Center, and WeHo Lounge. The fundraising also supported AHF Research Division and Positive Healthcare.
In addition to supporting clients over the holidays, AHF teams celebrate their achievements and uplift each other with words of thanks and occasionally a holiday party!
